One would think that through court hearings, competency, sanity evaluations, ex parte Berguard hearings, jury trial, Colorado Court of Appeals, Colorado Supreme Court, U.S. Department of Justice complaint, Colorado Open Records Act (CORA), Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, a federal 42 U.S.C. § 1983 lawsuit, Denver Colorado’s anti-discrimination office, and the Office of the Independent Monitor should have been fair effective mechanisms to utilize and remedy problems.

Yet, because I am challenging police misconduct, everything is court order sealed or confidential information.

Police error has been concealed by them. My trial was only one and a half days. There has not been any redress through any of, “effective mechanisms” mentioned that I requested redress and information from.

My case is unpublished. No case law. No responses to information requests and complaints. Life sentence, yet no accountability to the public.

I call to you now. I am choosing to open myself, open my mind to the world and the universe. The Lame Bull blood line in Denver Colorado is represented by my children, grand-children and myself. The Lame Bull family contributes to Colorado’s richness and diversity.

I do realize historical significance and rare blood associated with my sacred DNA. I am starting to understand the part I am to play. I am young in my medicine, untrained. I welcome guidance, education, and support towards my goals, purpose, and freedom. I am growing my voice. The voice of my ancestors speak through me. There has not been a more important time for me to make myself public in my thoughts and life experiences that have lead to this point.

Let me share with you more about myself and my tribal history. I am an enrolled-Native American from the Cheyenne & Arapaho Tribes. I am from Denver Colorado. I am a descendant of the original Lame Bull of the Cheyenne (Hotovaehe). He is honored as a prominent medicine man, artist, and leader within the Cheyenne. He was also a Cheyenne Arrow Priest and knowledgeable of Cheyenne Arrow ceremony.

He was born in 1833 to Shaking Crane and Yellow Horse Woman and lived most of his life with the Cheyenne and So’htseo’o’ tribes in what is now the states of Montana and South Dakota. Despite his disability, Lame Bull became a prominent Dog Soldier War society member and fought in several battles including the battle of Little Big Horn in southern Montana. Lame Bull was known as one of the most powerful Cheyenne Indian Medicine men.

Colorado has always been the Cheyenne & Arapaho’s ancestral lands and share a deep historical past. One example being the November 29, 1864 Sand Creek Massacre. Colorado was harsh on my tribes in the past. Nationwide Native Americans were almost hunted to extinction.

In 2016 an investigation was started on me, based on “assets” (nice vehicles registered to my family and I). Possible code name “Dirty D’s”. A lot of taxpayer funds were put into investigation. Could one say investigation is a tactic of new age hunters to steal my assets? Is it like history repeating itself? Should we recognize that the significance of national and regional particularities and various historical and cultural backgrounds should be taken into consideration?

Do I now have experience being “gang stalked”? Is there really systemic harassment of community members/targeted individuals? Death by a 1,000 cuts? Who are the decision makers, who choose U.S. Citizens/community members? Is there really behavior manipulation? What qualifications and or guidelines would decision maker make in choosing? Race? Age? Bloodline? DNA? Assets? Spirit? Soul?

Or I am just crazy? The possibility of community members, family members being manufactured into “criminals”? Is this an enslavement mechanism? I am in the belly of the beast. I am surrounded by people and I would not say all are “bad”. Mass incarceration needs these beds full. There is good in these places. I am trying to be part of the programs designed to build on people.

I want open dialogue with you. I want to become a community member who is prominent in my community. I want to take on responsibility of adding my strengths toward community safety projects. I want to make changes in my life and make it back home to my family. I want to open myself to healthy communication with all community leaders. I’ve always been hindered by criminal thinking. I understand the need for accountability and I am willing to take steps forward.

I have ideas that, given a chance, I could bring my experiences to my community.

Please share my story. I welcome the help of people with a voice. It is so much bigger than myself. Yet my creator has empowered me with the ability to write and speak towards a cause.
